The Plain Language Association International (PLAIN) and Klarsprache.at - Gesellschaft für lesbare Texte, are delighted to welcome you to PLAIN’s 2017 conference.
Our conference theme is “Improving Customer Relationships”. Our conference will help you share ideas, research, and know-how about the vital role of plain language in creating the trust, satisfaction and loyalty of customers in private businesses and public administration.
Whether you are a business owner, communication specialist or government officer, and whether you work in finance, law or community services, this is the conference for you.
Some of the world’s experts in communication will give you new ideas about improving the relationship with your clients and customers by writing and designing in plain language.
The conference will also provide an excellent opportunity for plain language professionals to share knowledge with those from fields such as information design, marketing, corporate communications, technical writing and usability.
You can expect a first-rate program featuring inspiring keynote speakers and up to 70 contributors from over 20 countries across five continents. The conference will be delivered in two languages: English and German and there will be first-rate translation facilities.
Klarsprache.at - Gesellschaft für lesbare Texte is excited to be the first Austrian host of PLAIN’s conference. Since 1997, PLAIN has run 10 biennial conferences in Canada, the United States, the Netherlands, Australia, Sweden, and most recently Ireland. PLAIN is a growing non-profit organization of plain-language advocates, professionals and organisations with members throughout the world.
